On April the 19th, after 8 months of work, in presence of the representatives of the investor, DHL Supply Chain, and the authorities of Gorzów Wielkopolski, we celebrated launching one of the most advanced and cutting-edge logistic parks in western Poland. This recently opened facility with the area of more than 60,000 sq. m., is the first stage of the complex to be developed at Mosiężna street. Finally, it will take 110,000 sq. m. of area tailored to the needs of e-commerce businesses.
The investor decided to cooperate with the Atlas Ward Polska Group as it sought a tried and true partner. They showed utmost appreciation to our experience and consulting capabilities at each stage of investment and construction processes, and our guarantee to meet expected completion time. The DHL Supply Chain warehouse is another project we carry out using state-of-the-art technologies and in compliance with the sustainable construction principles. “The site will be BREEAM-certified at the “excellent” level”, explains Mariusz Górecki, President of the Board of Atlas Ward Polska.
The building, BREEAM-certified at the “excellent” level, is operationally neutral with regard to carbon footprint. This logistic centre will minimise electric energy consumption and will ensure sustainable, economical consumption of any other resources in its operation. This will be possible by use of a number of environmentally friendly solutions, such as sub-meter systems, skylights, water consumption control systems or lighting control systems. Temperatures inside the building will be controlled by heat pumps, and PV panels by DSC will allow E-com Distribution Center to generate electric energy for in-house purposes.
