Last weekend, the fifth round of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland took place. Our drivers raced on the picturesque 7 km long Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
In addition to the technically demanding but very fast track, the temperatures posed a challenge. During the morning practice sessions, the thermometers showed 4-5 degrees Celsius, making it difficult to warm up the tires. Despite this, Arkadiusz Grycz showcased fast and effective driving, finishing 3rd overall (2nd in his class) – in both the Saturday and Sunday races!
Wojciech Karwan achieved his best result of the season, finishing 5th in Saturday’s sprint. The podium is getting closer!
Mariusz Górecki displayed solid pace throughout the weekend, but during Saturday’s race, while battling for top positions, his GT3 was hit by a competitor, taking away his chance for a good result.
The final, sixth round will take place on the second weekend of October, traditionally at the Hockenheimring.
