Our green construction mentor and BREEAM assessor, Ms. Katarzyna Minkiewicz, Sustainability Manager at Atlas Ward Polska, was a guest speaker at the 13th EKO Challenges – Green Energy Conference.
EKO Challenges is an ecology conference for local government officials, entrepreneurs and green activists, all those who care about the natural environment. The meeting was a platform for joint analysis of ecological challenges, which we face in both, global and nationwide perspective.
During her lecture, Ms. Katarzyna Minkiewicz, Sustainablity Manager at Atlas Ward Polska, explained to conference participants the benefits that BREEAM certification can bring to the environment, people and business. Eco-friendly construction and certification of buildings in the multi-criteria BREEAM system include:
- designs that incorporate renewable energy sources,
- implementation of bicycle-, public transport- and e-mobility friendly solutions,
- higher market value of the facility,
- faster return on investment or lower maintenance costs.
