Atlas Ward Polska has completed the second investment carried out in the factory of the world leader in tire production in Stargard. As the General Contractor, we have completed the construction of, among others new tire test building and raw material warehouse. The works were carried out on the premises of the operating plant, without disrupting its operation.

The factory in Stargard is one of the four Bridgestone production plants in Poland. The investor specializes in the production of car tires and rubber products. The expansion, which we conducted comprehensively as the General Contractor, lasted 22 months. As part of it, a vulcanization building with 110 m long technological channels, a tire test building equipped with explosion-proof glazing and – subject to increased fire protection standards – a raw material warehouse were constructed. The usable area of the new facilities totaled nearly 10,000 m2.

The highest standards and advanced technology

The expansion of the plant in Stargard included non-standard construction solutions. We carried out the works simultaneously on four independent construction sites. The project consumed nearly 900 tons of reinforcing steel and almost 7,000 m3 of concrete. Particularly noteworthy are the 27-meter girders weighing nearly 35 tons each, mounted at a height of 18 m. They were used in the structure of the warehouse roof and the vulcanization building. The detailed quality control process of Atlas Ward Polska required nearly 900 individual concrete tests to be carried out on this site. In addition, for the purposes of servicing the investment, two special technical roads with a total length of 2,400 m were created. All works were carried out in an increased fire protection regime and according to the highest health and safety standards.

Atlas Ward Polska was the General Contractor for the expansion of the Bridgestone production plant for the second time. The previous project included a new warehouse with a mezzanine and a wheelchair service building.
