Expansion of the Schumacher Packaging cardboard packaging factory in Krępice in Lower Silesia is underway. Atlas Ward Polska will be responsible for the project as the general contractor.
The new facilities, which will be constructed as part of the extension, will have a total area of close to 10 000 sqm. These will include two general purpose storage facilities and a paper storage facility, a logistics and staff building, a fire pumping station and a reception room. The expansion works will also cover landscaping of over 8,000 sqm of outdoor areas.
For over seventy years, Schumacher Packaging has specialised in the design and production of innovative corrugated and solid cardboard packaging, and is one of the largest family businesses in its field. The new investment in Krępice will optimise the operations of the production plant, and allow Schumacher Packaging to meet the growing demand on the market – among others for high quality packaging for e-commerce.
The investor has worked with Atlas Ward Polska before, on the construction of a high-bay storage facility and on the expansion of a production facility. As was the case previously, the current construction works will be carried out without any interruptions to the operations of the plant, which will maintain continuous production and distribution during the works. Completion of the expansion is planned for the end of August 2020.
